As per 1H FY26 Update
Paladin Energy is one of the largest listed uranium producers on the ASX and has evolved from a speculative uranium developer into a genuine global uranium company with operating production, development assets and significant growth optionality.
The company’s investment case is built around two cornerstone assets:
1. Langer Heinrich Mine (Namibia)
Langer Heinrich is Paladin’s flagship producing asset and one of the world’s best-known uranium mines.
After being placed on care and maintenance during the prolonged uranium bear market, Paladin successfully restarted operations and is now in the final stages of ramping up toward full production capacity. The mine produced 2.3 million pounds of U₃O₈ during 1H FY26, with management expecting FY26 production to reach the upper end of its 4.0–4.4 million pound guidance range.

What makes Langer Heinrich particularly attractive is its operating leverage to uranium prices.
The mine produced uranium at approximately US$40.5/lb during 1H FY26 while achieving an average realised selling price of US$70.5/lb, creating substantial margin expansion as uranium prices rise.

Importantly, Paladin has already secured 23 million pounds of contracted sales through 2030 while maintaining significant exposure to market-related pricing, allowing shareholders to benefit if uranium prices continue to rise.

2. Patterson Lake South (PLS) Project (Canada)
The real long-term value driver for Paladin is the Patterson Lake South project in Saskatchewan, Canada.
PLS was acquired through Paladin’s acquisition of Fission Uranium and is widely regarded as one of the highest-quality undeveloped uranium projects globally.

The project contains:
✅ 93.7 million pounds of uranium reserves
✅ Grade of 1.41% U₃O₈
✅ Average production target of approximately 9 million pounds per annum
✅ Expected mine life of 10 years
✅ Estimated operating costs of only US$11.7/lb
✅ Post-tax NPV of US$1.325 billion at US$90/lb uranium prices
✅ Post-tax IRR of 28.2%

These economics place PLS among the most attractive undeveloped uranium projects in the world.

The project recently achieved a major milestone after receiving Saskatchewan Government Environmental Impact Statement approval, significantly de-risking the pathway toward construction and future production.
Competitive Advantage
Paladin possesses several advantages that most uranium companies simply do not have.
Producing Asset + Growth Asset
Most uranium companies are either:
- Producers with limited growth
- Developers with no cash flow
Paladin has both.
Langer Heinrich generates revenue today while PLS provides substantial future growth. This combination is relatively rare within the uranium sector.

The Company’s mission is to support a global carbon-free future by providing nuclear energy, which is critical in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Nuclear energy generates 47% of carbon-free electricity in the United States.
Uranium mined and processed at the Langer Heinrich Mine will be used to fuel nuclear power plants, assisting in the global energy transition to a low-carbon, sustainable future.

With great tracking record of 0 environmental incidents, and 100% compliance with laws, regulation, licences and permit conditions, Paladin Energy has been setting meaningful targets for Paladin’s carbon footprint reduction and environmental impact, once the baseline footprint has been confirmed in operations.
Although we normally avoid companies that have its projects based in Africa, Namibia is generally considered a stable jurisdiction for mining operations. The country has a well-established legal framework and regulatory system that governs the mining industry. Namibia has a history of political stability and a favorable investment climate, attracting significant foreign investment in the mining sector.

The Namibian government has implemented policies to promote transparency, attract investment, and ensure responsible mining practices. It has established the Ministry of Mines and Energy to oversee the mining industry and has enacted legislation to regulate mining activities, including the Minerals (Prospecting and Mining) Act.
Namibia has a long history of mining, including uranium mining, and has developed a reputation as a reliable and responsible supplier of uranium globally. The country is known for its robust mining infrastructure, skilled workforce, and favourable geological conditions for mineral extraction.
🚩 It is important to note that geopolitical and economic factors can change over time, for those whom are looking into investing for the long term, it is critical to stay up to date on any developments or changes in the political and regulatory landscape that may have an impact on mining operations in Namibia or elsewhere. Thorough due diligence and staying up to date on local conditions are critical for any mining company operating in a specific jurisdiction.
Furthermore, Paladin, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Aurora Energy Ltd (Aurora), holds a 70% interest in 52,250 hectares of mineral licences in Canada. These are located within the Central Mineral Belt of Labrador, Canada. The area is approximately 140km north of Happy Valley-Goose Bay and 40km south-west of the community of Postville.
This local government encourages development that promotes regional growth. Support is conditional on taking into account community concerns. Development is encouraged if the government passes Environmental Assessment regulations and implements an Impacts and Benefits Agreement.

Michelin has resumed exploration activity with a dual-track workstream focused on defining development pathways and improving understanding of the regional exploration potential.
The sales process for the Michelin Project has begun, as required by the Michelin Joint Venture Agreement. Paladin reserves the right, in good faith, to determine whether the terms of any offer made during the sales process are acceptable. Paladin also has the right of first refusal to purchase the Michelin Joint Venture partner’s stake in the Project.
Why URANIUM?
The following points provide an overview of the factors influencing the uranium market, including price movements, supply concerns, production levels, and the demand outlook. It’s important to keep in mind that the uranium market can be influenced by various factors, and it’s essential to monitor developments and trends to gain a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics.

1H FY26 Key Fundamental Metrics
✅ Revenue: US$177.67M (substantial increase YoY from production ramp-up)
🚩 Net Profit: Loss of US$44.63M
✅ Langer Heinrich produced 2.3Mlb U₃O₈ during 1H FY26
✅ FY26 production expected towards upper end of 4.0–4.4Mlb guidance range
✅ US$278.4M cash and investments on balance sheet as at December 2025
✅ Average realised uranium price US$70.5/lb in 1H FY26

✅ Uranium Contracting returning to fundamentals

Uranium futures in the US eased to below $85 per pound in late May, the lowest in nearly two months after holding a narrow range during the period. The cooldown of the speculative rally in the start of the year drove the market’s forefront to return to muted levels of spot buying by utilities, which have already been largely reliant on long-term contracts since the war between Russia and Ukraine raised short-term trade uncertainty. Earlier, yellowcake prices were sustained by geopolitical tension driving power markets in major economies to be increasingly volatile, sparking interest in nuclear power by governments and power-hungry AI hyperscalers that develop datacenters. Italy was the latest to express interest to approve a legal framework to restore nuclear power, which has been shunned since the Chernobyl catastrophe. Meanwhile, Meta and Microsoft both signed agreements to gain fresh nuclear capacity for their future AI data center operations.
Technical Analysis
PDN is currently sitting at one of the most important technical levels on the entire chart.
The stock has already completed a full correction cycle from its recent highs near $15 and has now retraced approximately 35% of that advance. The key question now is whether this is simply a healthy correction within a larger uptrend or the beginning of a more prolonged downtrend.
At this stage, the evidence still favours the former.
While short-term momentum remains weak, the stock is approaching a confluence zone where multiple technical factors are aligning simultaneously. Historically, these areas often produce the highest probability BGS 20 setups because risk becomes clearly defined while upside remains substantial.
Deep Discount: PDN is trading more than 30% below its recent highs and near the SMA250 support zone, increasing asymmetrical upside potential if uranium sentiment improves.
VCP Setup: Not currently active.
Fake Breakdown Warning: A decisive close below $9.50 with heavy volume would invalidate the setup and increase the probability of a move towards the low $8 range.
Long-Term Trend (Primary Trend)
The long-term trend remains constructive.
Despite the recent selloff:
- Price remains above the SMA250
- SMA250 continues to slope higher
- The primary uptrend line remains intact
- No long-term trend break has occurred
This is important because BGS 20 seeks opportunities where the larger trend remains healthy but sentiment has temporarily weakened.
Many investors mistakenly focus on the recent decline and ignore the broader structure.
From a long-term perspective, PDN is still trading within a rising trend channel.
Medium-Term Trend
This is where the damage has occurred.
Several months ago:
- EMA9 was above SMA40
- Price was comfortably above both moving averages
- Momentum was strongly positive
Today:
- EMA9 has rolled over
- Price is trading below SMA40
- Momentum has weakened
This indicates the medium-term trend is currently corrective.
Importantly, corrective trends are not necessarily bearish trends.
There is a major difference.
A correction occurs inside a larger uptrend.
A bearish trend occurs after the larger structure breaks.
At present, PDN still falls into the correction category.
Volume Analysis
Volume is one of the most encouraging aspects of the current setup.
If institutions were aggressively exiting positions we would expect:
- Multiple large red volume spikes
- Expanding volume during declines
- Panic selling behaviour
Instead:
- Selling volume remains relatively controlled
- Distribution appears limited
- Decline has been orderly

This suggests sellers are becoming exhausted rather than increasingly aggressive.
That is often a prerequisite for a reversal.
The absence of panic volume is a positive sign.

The current misunderstanding of the media with Namibian Government has also offered another opportunity since the stock was trading at hypothetical support levels once again and bounced back quickly demonstrating a technically fake breakout.
